Before you take Tawny out of the corral, make sure she is groomed properly by brushing her silky blonde mane. And don’t forget to tack her with her flower-trimmed saddle, pink bridle, and matching saddle pad. Tawny also loves to hold the basket in her mouth as she carries Barbie around.
Tawny measures approximately 10 inches tall from the hooves to the top of her head. She is the ideal height to carry a 12-inch posable doll (not included). This horse treads easily over hard surfaces, but carpet and uneven surfaces are a challenge. And she withstands mild falls and rough child’s play without missing a beat. The bridle and saddle slip on easily and her mouth is magnetic to hold the basket. She walks with or without a rider, but it is much more fun to watch Barbie ride around. Tawny requires four AAA batteries (not included) to bring her alive.

Santa Clause brought this horse last year and my girls still play with it. When I first turned it on I thought it was broken because it didn’t do all the things it was supposed to do. I replaced the batteries and off she went. This is a really neat horse. She walks like a real horse.

Works better than I thought it would by J. Brown
Before I bought this I had read several reviews about it being unsteady and prone to breaking. My 5-year daughter has played with for several months and it has worked so much better than I expected. It will carry a Barbie over the uneven floors of our house without a problem until comes to a threshold. It has fallen over many times now and continues to function great.

My daughters had Tawny on their Christmas wish lists. When I looked into purchasing Tawny I saw many negative reviews and almost passed on the toy. Knowing my girls really wanted it I order the horse and knew it probably wouldn’t last. Now, roughly three months later, Tawny is still going strong. We have not run into any problems and the toy works great. It definitly runs better on hard surfaces so try to avoid carpet.
