This “so ugly he is cute” friend is one of the webkinz line of toys. He is cuddly in his own way. More of a bruiser, than a lover. The whole internet component is a nice benign playplace for kids, but lacks more of an educational value. There are some aspects of math and certainly budgeting there that are important to learn, but there are also many games that could be improved upon to include vocabulary, writing and math.

I’m pretty happy overall with all the webkinz. My eight year old daughter has been collecting them for about 1 1/2 years now. The online site is safe and she has a blast with them. My only complaint is that often I have to put a stich or two somewhere along the seam with quite a few of them. But for the price I can’t complain too much. You get access to the site for a year whenever you purchase one. This gorilla is really cute too. By the way, if you’re a parent, be forewarned; the site can be addictive for grownups too. Theres a lot of games, Quizzys is fun and there’s a version of majhong that I’ve spent hours playing. These are definitely recommended.
