Product Description:
On the first day of the First Moon of the lunar calendar, the most important celebration in China begins. Homes are decorated with paper banners adorned with happy wishes, pretty flowers and platters of oranges and tangerine. At midnight on Chinese New Year’s Eve, fireworks fire and the festival begins.

One of the most wondrous spectacles of the festival is the dragon dance. Many people carry long silk dragons, dancing in procession as musicians play gongs and drums. A happy celebrant is dressed in a silky red gown decorated with yellow flowers and a phoenix, a symbol of happiness and joy. Flowers and butterflies, symbols of long life and beauty, are in her upswept hair. She is very happy to receive the gift of a red Lai-See Envelope. Doll measures 12″ tall.

Simply wonderful by E. Kais
I fell in love with this beautiful doll as soon as I saw her poster. I ordered her and got her very fast according to my opinion, less than 10 days. I opened the package and was a little bit surprised. Doll looked little different from photos shown here but by my opinion she looked more asian than I thaught according to poster. And her face looks more round on the photos. But it was a pleasant kind of surprise. Dress looks red on photos but really is more pinkish. And material is very thin, which is not important- doll herself is fantastic! I would not I hope if anyone can give a nice chinese name, with translation?

I bought this doll for my girls because they were adopted from china and gave one to them to play with and saved one for when they grow up to have as a keepsake. It is really cute. Thanks!

Absolutely gorgeous!! by Violet’s Mama
I bought this doll and have her stored in our closet to give to my daughter who is half Chinese and quarter Japanese/German. I myself am half Japanese and half German and have lived in Japan. I’d say that gives me enough credibility to say that this doll is a great representation of a beautiful Asian woman. When I flip through the television stations I see many a Asian woman of this beauty on the Chinese/Korean/Japanese channels. […]

Love this doll by kittykins
Just stunning, I wish Mattel would do some Asian male dolls. Beautiful face, dress, even hair decoration. Mattel, please make your dolls easier to get out of their boxes, I like to display them, it’s not fair to keep them hidden in the box.
